Nate and Stephanie Otto are gearing up to take a group of Gusties to Italy this January (2017) for their course entitled Eat Italy! The group will consider topics surrounding food production and agriculture and how those things connect to the land and people living and working in Italy.

Matt Eberhardt and Rio

Matt Eberhardt, Gustavus assistant athletic trainer and strength/conditioning coach, was selected as part of the medical staff for the US Paralympic track and field team for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games Sept 7th-18th. Mary Joos awarded Swenson-Bunn award

Mary Joos, program director and clinical education coordinator of the Gustavus Adolphus College Athletic Training Program, has been awarded the 2016 Swenson-Bunn Memorial Award for Teaching Excellence. Nominated and selected by students, the award was presented at the College’s Honors Day convocation on Saturday, May 7.

Karl Larson and SOPHE

Karl Larson has recently been named President of the Minnesota Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE). The Minnesota chapter of SOPHE provides leadership through a code of ethics, standards for professional preparation, research, and practice; professional development; and public outreach.
